About GoDaddyGoDaddy has been the largest registrar of new domains for the last few years and recently took overtook Network Solutions to become the world’s No. 1 domain registrar. Like Namecheap they are cheap and reliable.Prices (per year for 1 year registration)Their most popular extensions (.com, .net, .org) tend to be about $9-$11. This is very competitive. They tend to have sales much more often then most domain companies so ou should keep an eye out for price changes. Specifically, they tend to put their .info domains on sale for real cheap. They also tend to have discounts for incoming transers.FeaturesQuick Blog, free hosting with web site builder, complete email, starter web page, "For Sale" page, free parked page, getting started guide, domain forwarding & masking, 100-Pack email forwarding, total DNS control, change of registration, status alerts, and domain locking. They also offer small hosting packages (they are actually do a large amount of hosting business now) but I would recommend going with a company like Powweb if you are looking for a hosting package.Reliability and SupportThey have good quality support and generous phone hours. Their billing support hours are Mon-Fri 5:30AM-9:00PM MST and Sat-Sun 7:30AM-9:00PM MST. |
