NameCheap is a domain name "reseller". This means they are not actually a registrar - they only sell names. The registrar they are a reseller for is eNom. Namecheap, as a reseller, is able to offer lower prices than eNom and that is why they are probably the most recommended domain name company out there. Their prices are as good as any company out there and their service is top notch.

You get free URL forwarding and free e-mail forwarding. These are valuable tools. they also have a nice bulk domain search for logged-in users only. They also give you 1 year of free Whois Guard which is their whois privacy service. One of the best things about Namecheap is that they have the best control panel which makes it very easy to manage your names. I have been with registrars which had embarassing account management so I know this is worth a lot. They also offer small hosting packages but I would recommend going with a company like Powweb if you are looking for a hosting package. As of June 2007, Namecheap nows accepts Paypal and Google checkout as payment options.
Support
Their support is top-notch. Considering they are a low-price company their customer service is very good.
